
Mona Considine
Mona Considine is General Manager at Backstage Theatre. Located just outside Longford town, the theatre comprises a 212 seater auditorium, studio space and gallery and presents a diverse programme of touring professional theatre, dance, and music. Mona is responsible for artistic programming and development at Backstage as well as personnel, financial and administrative management.
She is a member of the Nomad touring network, a network of the six venues in the North Midlands region and the Nasc touring network, a network of seven venues from a wide geographical spread. She has been a member of both networks since their establishment in late 2005/early 2006. Mona also serves as a Director on the board of The Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge.

Peter Daly
Peter is an actor. He is currently a participant in Rough Magic’s Advance programme; a new development initiative designed to give established artists the opportunity to expand their knowledge and broaden their artistic horizons and is funded by the Arts Council’s Theatre Development Funding Scheme.

Television credits include The Clinic, Fair City and Love Is The Drug (RTÉ).

Peter is also a qualified chartered accountant.

Loughlin Deegan, Chair
Loughlin Deegan is the first appointed Artistic Director at the Lir - National Academy of Dramatic Art.
Prevously Artistic Director and Chief Executive of the Dublin International Theatre Festival, one of the oldest dedicated theatre festivals in Europe.
Loughlin was Executive Producer of Rough Magic Theatre Company from 2003-2006. He was previously Literary Manager with Rough Magic when his responsibilities included developing the work of commissioned writers and co-ordinating the SEEDS project, a structured new-writing initiative for emerging Irish playwrights.
For the Irish Theatre Institute (formerly Theatre Shop), Loughlin edited the first two editions of the Irish Theatre Handbook, a comprehensive guide to drama and dance in Ireland, and he compiled and edited the launch phase of the Irish Playography Database (www.irishplayography.com), a comprehensive, on-line searchable database of all new Irish plays produced professionally between 1975 and the present.

Pádraig Heneghan
Pádraig Heneghan is the Deputy Director of the Gate Theatre.
Since joining the company in 2001, he has continued to hold the roles of Financial Controller and Head of Touring, having overseen many tours to major festivals and venues around the world (Edinburgh International Festival, Sydney Festival, Spoleto Festival, Barbican, Lincoln Centre, Brooklyn Academy of Music); numerous transfers to the West End and Broadway (Faith Healer) and the Waiting for Godot national tour in 2008.
Before joining the Gate, he was Project Manager with Eircom and previously worked in finance and audit in New York and Dublin.
A graduate of Dublin City University, he is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Emer McGowan
Emer is the Director of Draíocht, a multi-disciplinary arts centre located in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 serving an immediate population of 100,000.
She has held a variety of roles including adminstrator of the Dublin Youth Theatre and Dance Council of Ireland, Dublin Development Officer with the National Association for Youth Drama, General Manager of TEAM Educational Theatre Company, Arts Officer for City of Dublin Youth Service Board and Director of Baboro, International Arts Festival for Children. Emer is a member of the Theatre for Young Audiences (Ireland) committee.

Cian O'Brien
Cian is the newly appointed Artistic Driector of Project Arts Centre.
Previously Associate Producer of Rough Magic Theatre Company. Credits as producer with Rough Magic include Solemn Mass for a Full Moon in Summer, Improbable Frequency (New York and National Tour), The Parker Project, Life is a Dream, The Taming of the Shrew (National Tour).
Cian also works as a freelance producer. His credits include The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Making Strange and Project Arts Centre), All Dolled Up (thisispopbaby, Brighton Fringe Festival 2007), La Marea (Bedrock Productions and Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival) Roberto Zucco (Bedrock Productions) Danny and Chantelle (Still Here) (thisispopbaby); How Many Miles to Babylon (Second Age Theatre Company); The Friends of Jack Kairo (Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Prague Fringe Festival 2007); Mother Teresa is Dead (Focus Theatre); Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Making Strange Theatre Company) H-BAM (How Babies are Made) Comedy troupe (Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2002,2003).
Cian took part in the Rough Magic AIB SEEDS3 programme as producer. As part of the AIB SEEDS 3 Showcase he produced Caligula (Nominated Best Production, Irish Times Irish Theatre Awards 2007). Cian is also a board member of Project Arts Centre.

Niamh O’Donnell
Niamh O’Donnell has worked in arts management for over seventeen years. She has worked across disciplines initially in the Gallery of Photography (1990), then on the re-establishment of Black Church Print Studio, an artist resource organisation (1994), followed by a position as Artistic Programme Co-ordinator in ArtHouse Multi-media Centre (1999) where she co-ordinated the sound and media residencies and the exhibitions programme. Niamh also worked for four years on a voluntary basis contributing to the establishment of the first community television station in Dublin, as committee member. Dublin Community Television (DCTV) now broadcast to about 200,000 homes and aims to serve, empower and promote Dublin communities and their right to be seen and heard.
Niamh has worked as General Manager in Project Arts Centre, a multi disciplinary arts centre, for the past ten years where she is responsible for the financial and general management of the centre and all its activities as well as working as Executive Producer on the Project CATALYST initiative. This initiative involves Project Arts Centre producing and co-producing the work of individual artists, across disciplines, working outside the standard model of production. In 2010 the CATALYST initiative supported 27 productions, 12 in the centre and
15 off site as well as touring to 9 venues nationally and 7 international venues and festivals.

Liz Roche
Liz Roche is Artistic Director of Dublin based dance company, Rex Levitates. Her choreographies for the company have been performed in Ireland and the UK, USA and Asia, most recently performing at the South Bank Centre London, Baryshnikov Arts Centre and Judson Memorial Church New York. She has been commissioned by the National Ballet of China, Scottish Dance Theatre, Cois Ceim and Dublin Dance Festival and has worked extensively in opera in Ireland, Italy, Switzerland and Korea.
In theatre she has choreographed productions for The Abbey, The Gate Theatre, Landmark Productions, National Youth Theatre, Siren Productions and The Ark Children's Theatre.
Liz has danced for all major Irish companies and abroad with choreographers John Jasperse,Rosemary Butcher, Helene Cathala and Fabrice Ramalingom amongst others. She is currently Choreographer-in-Residence at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance and is a guest choreographer on the MA in Contemporary Dance at University of Limerick. Liz was Chairperson of the board of Dance Ireland from 2002 – 2007.

Tim Smith
Tim is the General Manager of Druid. He started working in theatre in 1996. He started his career at the Royal Shakespeare Company where he moved from House Manager to Tour Manager overseeing national tours of RSC productions. In 2001 Tim went freelance as a stage manager and worked for the Tricycle Theatre, Oxford Playhouse, in the West End and Garsington Opera.
In 2002 he came to Ireland to work as Druid's stage manager. In 2007, having stage managed sixteen productions for Druid, Tim moved into the administration of Druid becoming General Manager in 2008.
