The Arts Council of Ireland aren’t supporting a Fellowship this year but they are supporting Short Course places. Onformation about Short Courses can be found here http://cloreleadership.org/page.php?id=55.
The Arts Council of Northern Ireland are supporting a Fellowship in 2012/13
‘I hadn’t quite grasped what the course was going to do for me. I wanted to be able to start a company,I wanted to know about sponsorship, fundraising, presentation skills. I received all of this expert training and more. I gained a group of fellows who each contributed to my learning in different ways. I witnessed leaders of the highest calibre. I saw that leadership and the arts is about humanity. All I can say is that the Clore programme empowered me to become a director of an organisation which is led with passion and positivity and is fed by the creativity of others. This is just the beginning.’
The Clore Leadership Programme is currently inviting applications for two Fellowships from candidates with the potential to develop as a leader in theatre. The Fellowship Programme aims to shape emerging creative leaders from across the cultural sector through in-depth learning, tailored as far as possible to the needs, aspirations and circumstances of the individual Fellow. The structure of the programme includes:
Fellows can choose to take a period of about six months away from work and receive a bursary while undertaking their programme, or continue to be attached to their place of work, with their employer being compensated for the sustained periods when they're away.
