Michelle Read is a writer, theatre-maker and dramaturge. She trained as an actor at Middlesex Polytechnic and later received an M.A. in dramaturgy from Goldsmiths College, London. Awards include the Hugh Leonard Bursary and the Eamon Keane Full-Length Play Award for ‘Snakelight’ (2009), the Stewart Parker/BBC Northern Ireland Drama Award for ‘The Other Side’ (2003) and a Fringe First for ‘Romantic Friction’ (1998).
