Cork Midsummer Festival is pleased to open up 2-3 work placement opportunities in the Production department for the 2012 Festival.

Interns will be required to work 20 hours per week prior to the Festival and 40 - 60 hrs per week during the Festival.

During the placement, participants will gain valuable, practical experience in the following areas:

Scheduling,                                                                          Budgeting,                                                                                        Logistics,                                                                             Organising equipment rental,                                                  Overseeing get in / get outs,                                                         Liaisng with visiting companies etc.

Prior technical / production experience and a driving licence are both preferable but not essential.  A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Exel, Powerpoint) is also desirable.

This position is unpaid and some heavy lifting may be involved.
