Imaginosity, Theatre Manager

Imaginosity, Dublin’s Children’s Museum, is an interactive creative and educational facility for children up to 10 years of age. The organisation’s mission is children’s success.

The Museum comprises 8,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space within a 16,000 sq.ft. building.

Imaginosity opened to the public in September 2007, and has welcomed 80,000 visitors in that time.

We are currently seeking a dynamic Theatre Manager to programme and operate the ‘Kids’ Stage’ theatre area within the Museum.

The successful candidate will have the ability to do the following:
• Plan, manage and orchestrate an annual public theatre programme
• Develop, implement and evaluate a wide range of drama programmes for the above age group within the organisation.

Applicants should have a proven track record in programme development, children’s theatre, and facilitating theatre workshops. Budget management, administration and excellent writing and communication skills are essential.

A passion and commitment to children’s theatre is necessary, along with a willingness to work outside normal office hours plus weekends, while working as a leader in a team-based environment.

This is a senior position. A minimum of 7 years work experience in theatre/ drama for children is required. An initial contract for one year (extended to 3 years) with a 6 month probabation period.
