Responsible for the effective delivery of all marketing, press and promotional initiatives for the company, incorporating IFI Cinemas, Irish Film Archive, IFI Education and Access, all film festivals, retrospectives, courses, special events, publishing properties and Reel Ireland’s international touring programme.

Leading a marketing team comprising Marketing Officer, PR Officer and IT System Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the effective marketing of IFI's entire range of cultural activities and services.

This is a Senior Management position and the successful candidate should have previous experience working in a similar role. He/She will be a highly motivated task-driven individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to micro-manage the marketing budget, illustrate experience in hands-on advertising, marketing and PR campaigns, knowledge of cultural venues or activity marketing, and experience with online marketing and sales facilities will all be advantages to applicants.

Key tasks and priorities include:

• Delivering new sponsorships in support of the IFI.

• To develop IFI's membership into the leading cultural membership scheme in the country.

• To devise and implement a marketing and communications strategy with the following objectives:

(a) Maximise the patronage of the IFI cultural programme (including regular Film Centre cinema programme, specialist events/projects/festivals) and services, prioritizing Irish FIlm Archive, IFI Education and Reel Ireland in the marketing strategy.

(b) Maximise the profile and patronage of the IFI Centre (Bar/Cafe/Restaurant/Bookshop)

(c) Ensure IFI's stated aim to secure National Cultural Institition status is served by this strategy.

(d) Improve and maintain a high quality customer relations ethos throughout the Institute.

• Work closely with the Director in developing fundraising initiatives in tandem with IFI's Capital Development ambitions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall image and profile of the IFI and how it communicates at all levels.

Salary range €55,000-60,000
