European Cultural Foundation: looking for Grants officer

The European Cultural Foundation (ECF) is an independent organisation which supports cultural projects of European relevance and cross-border cultural cooperation; it also promotes cultural policy development for Europe. The Grants Officer manages the ECF?s grants scheme, with the assistance of a grants administrator and is under the supervision of the Head of the ‘Support’ action line.

Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Closing date: 4 February 2008
Contract: Longer term, starting with a one year contract; full time
Starting on: 1 April 2008

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Coordinates information and communication about the ECF grants scheme
* Processes grants applications and organises the grants selection process
* Organises the assessment procedures with the grants advisors and artistic jury, in liaison with Board members and management
* Prepares grants reports
* Monitors the development of grants awarded and coordinates grants visits to funded projects and evaluation
* Coordinates the preparation of artistic events related to ECF grants

SKILLS

* Higher Education or University degree
* Working experience in an international arts and or cultural cooperation environment is particularly relevant
* Familiarity with the artistic scene, especially in relation with cultural diversity, integration and participation
* Strong capacity in administrative management
* Fluent in English and at least one other European language (French and/or Dutch would be an asset).

We offer

* A start-up 12 month full time contract as of April 1, with 8% holiday allowance and 13th month.
* Starting salary, between 2800 – 3100 Euros gross per month, depending on experience.
