Book keeper - Dance Ireland

Book keeper
Dance Ireland is the trading name of the Professional Dancers in Ireland Ltd. Established in 1989 as a membership organisation dedicated to the promotion and development of professional dance, we assumed the management of DanceHouse in late 2006. DanceHouse is a six-studio purpose built dance rehearsal venue located in the heart of the north-east inner city.
Dance Ireland seeks to employ a bookkeeper for 1 day per week.
Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities will include:
Raising invoices and account statements
Payment of invoices
Recording transactions on MYOB
Preparing bank lodgements
Bank reconciliation
Fortnightly payroll (for 7 people) on Thesaurus
Petty cash
File management
Assisting with other bookkeeping tasks as required
Assisting with the preparation for the annual audit
Skills/competencies required:
Working knowledge of MYOB & Thesaurus
Excel & Word
High degree of accuracy
Organised approach to work
Experience:
Relevant qualification in book keeping/accountancy
Minimum three years experience in similar accounting/bookkeeping role is essential
Salary:
Salary will be pro rata in the region of 30-35k per annum commensurate with experience
