Theatre Forum regularly organises members's meeting which bring members together to share, learn and network with each other. 

These range from meetings regarding funding to our 'Tell a good story' meetings where members can share learnings from different strategies they have tried. 

In addition to this we also hold meetings specifically for venue managers which focus on issues and research pertaining directly to them. 

To give you an idea of what these meetings can entail, here is an agenda from our most members' meeting in December 2011. 

• A new Development Managers Group has been established comprising people working in development in the arts.  Gemma Duke from the Dublin Theatre Festival  & Oonagh Desire from the Abbey Theatre will  explain more 
• Discount deals. With the rise of Groupon, Boardsdeals, City Deals, Living Social and other websites with do they work for our sector?  The pros cons and things to watch out for. 
• Producer Donal Shiels – his experience with Group.on and a deal for dinner & show in the Burlington
• Niamh Honer from the Civic Theatre on the discount deal they are offering for Tall Tales Bogboy .
• David McLoughlin, CEO Wexford Festival Opera on their ambitious fundraising plans & success to date 
• John McNamara Managing Director of Send Mode, a good value service for SMS messaging of clients, explains how the Balor Theatre uses it & its advantages
• Update from the different venue networks 
  Nora Hickey M'Sichili, Director of the Mermaid Theatre will present Imeall, the new network of the five ‘M50 venues’  
  Marie Farrell  from the Linenhall in Castlebar gives an update on the 2012 plans of the Strollers network of venues
  Patricia McBride from the NASC network of venues 
• Mary Hanley from the Ramor Theatre on the success of their artist in residency scheme run with the Backstage Theatre and theatre director Paraic McIntyre artistically, in terms of community engagement and financially. Any tips/lessons for others?  
• Shauna Lyons of Dublin Theatre Festival on developing a mobile website and success of Final Call.
• Kath Gorman Associate Producer of Cork Midsummer Festival on their big success with European Funding. Is there an opportunity there for other festivals?
